Hosting Terms of Service

Effective date: See document header. Version: 1.

NOTE: Managed hosting (“Cloud Services”) is in development and not yet commercially available. These terms are published in draft so the waitlist and early-access users can review them; they take effect only when the service launches.

These terms govern the managed hosting of Django applications provided by Technovize (“we”, “us”) under the Technovize Cloud Services brand, in addition to our general Terms of Service and DPA.

1. The service

Managed deployment, running, and maintenance of your Django application on infrastructure we operate, including routine updates, monitoring, and backups as described in your plan.

2. Plans and billing

Hosting is billed as a recurring subscription per the plan you select. Plans, resource limits, and prices are shown at sign-up. Overages (if any) are billed as described in the plan. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

3. Availability

We target high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service unless a specific SLA is stated in your plan. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where reasonably possible.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Keep your application code and its dependencies lawful and reasonably secure.
  • Do not use the service to host illegal content, send spam, mine cryptocurrency without prior written consent, run open relays, or conduct attacks against third parties.
  • Respond promptly to abuse or security notices we send you.

The following are not permitted on our infrastructure, on any plan:

  • Bots and automated traffic aimed at other websites or services, including scrapers, click farms and automated account creation.
  • Port scanners, penetration testing tools and attack tooling of any kind, whether or not aimed at third parties.
  • Adult content, in any form.
  • File storage or distribution for third parties, including mirrors, download portals and backup services for others.
  • Sending bulk or unsolicited email, including newsletters to purchased or harvested lists.
  • Cryptocurrency mining and comparable work that mainly consumes computing power.
  • AI applications: running or serving language or image models, and applications whose primary function is to pass requests through to an AI service.

If you are unsure whether your application falls within these limits, ask us before you deploy. We would rather answer a question than suspend an account.

5. Acceptable use and suspension

We may suspend a deployment that threatens platform security, breaches the law, or materially degrades service for others. Where practical we give notice and an opportunity to remedy; for active security threats we may act immediately and inform you afterwards.

6. Data and backups

Your application data is processed under our DPA. We take backups per your plan, but you remain responsible for keeping your own copies of critical data and code.

7. Termination and data export

Either party may terminate per the plan terms. On termination we provide a reasonable window for you to export your data and code before deletion.

8. Liability

Hosting liability is limited as set out in our general Terms of Service.
